Id like to point out that this bulb has a bd17 base which means the glass is supposed to taper out slightly at the base

The bd17 base lamps are designed specifically to not fit in ed17 sockets

Not all mh lamps will work with all mh ballasts

They were shipped loose in oversized box probably should have had some bubble wrap with em for a cushion
