Pros

Added a 36 drop rod for vaulted ceiling. The fan is beautiful and doesn't shake at all, even on the highest setting. It is quieter than the hunter fan, as i can't hear anything when it's on.

I wish westinghouse had given the remote a bit of heft by adding a small metal weight inside. The remote is so easy you just attach the wires from the remotes housing to ceiling wires and it fits right in the bracket. Works like a charm.

The fan looks amazing. Hats off to the designer(s). It is worth it in the end! Loved it. Bought 2 more. Really like the fan/light combo look and price.

Even on the lowest speed those big beautiful blades make a very comfortable breeze within an 8' radius below. The fan itself has a more modern look and comes with reversal blades.

But that's the paradox of design sometimes--what looks simple can be complex to build/assemble.

Cons

It's sketchy installing a heavy fan that high. The blades are cheap. The unit is attractive but it had a grinding noise so we asked for a replacement.

There are only 2 set screws instead of 3 equally spaced, so when you tighten them down it forces the down-rod to one side automatically making it unbalanced. The paint/stain was damaged/scratched out of the box. I hope the manufacturer will immediatel... Read More
