I love the fan for what it does and can’t fault the quality, small issue with the remote control but overall it’s still fantastic.
Packaging/appearance
You could do this on the ground, but then the blades get in the way.

This is a very high-quality product; recommend.
It's 6kg but manual states fitting need to support 16kg.
Works really well, i got this professionally fitted but it didn't seem to be to onerous and the skilled diyer could do this easily.

I thought i’d have a crack at installing this and i managed it successfully but i think many would need an electrician to install it

This fan is easy to assemble using the well thought out instructions supplied and is pretty easy to fit as always if you are unsure of how to install this fan then please consult a qualified electrician

My advice is to pay the extra for an amazon expert to put the fan up because i got some electricians from british gas and all they did was moan

But i think if something did happen to the light a lighting shop could fit new led strips inside

Do be aware that this is quite a hefty piece of kit and definately must be afixed to strong ceiling mounts as described in the instructions
