It can be used with a halogen bulb but i prefer leds so i first tried using it with an 8w golfball bulb and found it only illuminated one end of the shadeglobe

As sold the ceiling fan will not work correctly with the westinghouse lighting 78801 ceiling fan and light wall control unless the fan and light live feeds are separated at the fan and an additional terminal installed within the fan base for the extra live or change the 3way lne block to a 4way l1l2ne block

The fan will need to be wired to the 78801 wall control using 3 core earth cable and it goes without saying that this work should only be performed by a competent person in line with relevant electrical safety regulations

Very easy install bought together with remote control the dedicated mount space for the remote control unit was a great design idea i have wrestled with a previous fan unit which had the same control unit but no space made for it

Only downside is the light outputits fairly low uses ses candle bulb golf ball ones dont fit

It would benefit from having the balancing weights that westinghouse used to supply but small pieces of blutac worked
