Pros & Cons
Pros
Purchased the wgen 9500df after one too many outages in my area. Plenty of power to run my 3 ton ac, pool pump and refrigerator. It is loud and heavy but that is to be expected from a generator of this size.
Cons
Westinghouse refuses to take back the generator unless it is deemed unserviceable. Started with two weeks shipping, (was supposed to be a week). Wouldn't purchase again with these problems and lack of customer support. It's also are fault for not test... Read More
The breaker pops on the plugs with a very minimal load. Went through an entire canister of propane. Power goes out in a rainstorm?
I bought this generator brand new, it work for 1 hour and never restarted again. It shuts off on its own whim, sometimes starts and sometimes doesn’t. Ran rough and shut off since day 1.
Beware when paying good money for product. Buyer beware. The predator 9000 from harbor freight is the same price and last much longer with the same use.
That’s very inconvenient for us. Too bad.
Highlights
Quality
Easy to set up and get running, remote start is convenient
Great product, well manufactured and easy to use.
I hooked up the propane pushed the start button and within seconds it started and ran until i turned it off about 5 min.
The battery was charged enough to turn over and it started right up.
Price
Glad we bought, worth the cost and piece of mind.
The wp9500df was affordable, and was easy to set up and use.
Shipping
I am very happy with this generator, it took a little time to arrive but it was definitely worth the wait!
Started quickly on propane and looking forward to providing power during emergencies.
Our westinghouse 9500 duel fuel generator was delivered this past week.
Packaging/appearance
We unpacked and started it up and it works great.
Machine came well packed and with sufficient instructions.
Out of the box, all that was needed to get it ready was putting the wheels and handle on, and putting the oil in the crankcase.
I was a little concerned with the cardboard packaging being pretty beaten up, but there was absolutely no damage to the generator.
