Pros
This grinder is amazing. This grinds so much faster and smoother than my the old grinder. I was using a weak kitchenaid grinder before this one.
It's quieter than my last grinder (but keep in mind, it's grinder so it won't be silent) it is fairly heavy, but that's not a big deal to me. It is quieter than the cuisinart junk and the speed stuffer worked fast and smart.
Clean up was a cinch. It's simple to assemble/disassemble too.
Superior machine and investment for making raw dog food. If you raw prep, this is the way to go. Makes making dog food easy peasy.
Cons
The pro series #22 takes forever to complete a grind. In the middle of our grinding, the internal gears just sheered off. The warranty is 5 years because in 6, the grinder dies.
The warranty stinks. The meat was chilled in the freezer, firm, but not frozen solid.

Competitiveness
I looked at several other brands and i’m glad i went with weston.
3x faster than the tasin 108 and infinitely faster than the totally worthless turboforce 3000 stx.
We bought this as a replacement for another companies product that had issues and wasn't really capable of doing what it advertised.
We previously bought a different brand and returned it.

I took off the front end turned the gear by hand and limbered up the driven shaft with penetrating oil
