Pros & Cons
Pros
It disassembles very easily and cleans well with just water. It cleans up easily; although, i cautiously hand-washed it because it has a protective paint on it that appears to be vulnerable to chipping.
The #10 grinder has no problem grinding chicken bones. Work within the confines of the tool. Partially freeze the meat before grinding. The auger pushes the meat through to the cutter.
The only downside is the outside finish. I still like it though because it is incredibly durable and would buy it again. There is zero additional cost to me to have fully functional grinder.
Cons
The entire cast iron surface is very rough and lumpy. It's a major hassle to use and then you have to completely disassemble to clean it. The blade got dulled very fast.
Just ended up with a mashed up, overworked blob of beef in the cylinder. Won't grind anything.
Highlights
Quality
It's easy to use and pretty fast grinding - 5 pounds of meat for 1/2 an hour.
Worked great to grind a tough beef roast into nice sandwich meat.
Total piece of crap 1st time i went to attach it to the counter it snapped in half
All cast iron will rust if not properly tacken care of.
Price
I would recommend to anyone for the price.
