Pros & Cons
Pros
It's not too big or too heavy so it easily tucks away in my cabinet. No problems, easy cleaning, no over heating.
It is fabulous. I hope it lasts! It’s quite a mess and frightening to have happen.
It still works fine and has no residue lifting from it. The stick is great to help push the meat down in the hole.
The 0801 has a little cubby to store the power cord. My only negative is that the machine produces more noise than we would like.
Cons
The gooseneck latching mechanism is not secure and wanders into the unlocked position while grinding. The front attachment would not screw down more than half way. Frankly, my kitchenaid mixer (aftermarket all stainless) grinder attachment is far supe... Read More
This thing is a cheap toy. Dont waste your time/money. Very ugly but functional.
Highlights
Quality
All in all, this is a good quality, simple to use meat grinder great for home use.
The top and bottom trays are sturdy and easy to clean.
Despite its ease of assembly, use, and cleaning, the grinding plates turn meat into mush, even at the largest size.
Additionally, the hopper connection is poorly designed, causing it to flap about and the latch locking mechanism feels insecure... Read More
Price
With the price of this grinder i was so surprised at how well this worked it's definitely under priced.
I saw this grinder/stuffer at a great price, and ordered for hubby's birthday.
I found mine for over $50 less at the warehouse.
A little loud, but can’t beat it for the price
Packaging/appearance
The box was great, everything was nice on the outside.
Competitiveness
We bought stx internationl turboforce 3500 tfhd believing this was the best choice.
And the 1201 is much cheaper so it seems like a no-brainer decision.
I'll compare the two models since both are currently being sold still.
I researched brands before ordering this one and found that weston was a good and reliable brand for meat grinders.
