Pros & Cons
Pros
We have vacuum packed four moose and three caribou with it. Once you get the hang of the process, it’s super easy and user friendly! Works much better than foodsaver brand sealers.
The cord is removable and has a storage compartment on the back. The sealer is heavy and having the cord stored away instead of dangling makes everything a lot safer. Power draw is an acceptable 160 watts. It's fairly heavy and bulky, though.
Cons
This product is worse then the one you can buy at walmart. Given this it makes me question my thoughts on purchasing their grinder too. Too much money for this chinese junk. This machine is junk!
It works well when it works well, but the honeymoon ends when you have 20 pounds of meat in the fridge and it refuses to seal. After about 20-30 uses the protective strip craps out, the heating element then proceeds to melt through the bag making a me... Read More
The control panel on the front is installed crooked. The automatic latch system on the pro-1100 is an unnecessary feature that was quirky from the get-go. That triggers an e1 error code and the unit won't run.
Highlights
Quality
Awesome quality can use it for many hours.
Sturdy, simple to operate, easy to clean.
The vacuum takes less than 30 seconds to draw all the air out and seals it automatically.
Worked for exactly one sealing, then croaked.
Price
You get what you pay for sometimes, and this is that instance.
Have it five stars as i felt for the price lid should be auto release
Freeing more space at the cost of slightly longer setup time and potentially loosing the metal roll holder rod.
Packaging/appearance
It wasn't placed in another box with protection.
( the brown box to the right of the sealer is bags i bought from amazon.
Another issue likely occurred while the unit was being packaged at the factory.
Competitiveness
I have only had another foodsaver brand, and i’m very happy to have switched to this machine.
This vacuum sealer is noticeably better than other high-quality vacuum sealers.
I forgot the name but you know the ones you can buy at any target, walmart.
Both died within a year and were well recognized brands that target home users.
