Pros & Cons
Pros
The weston 83-3030-w cone and pestle set, stainless steel, is a medium sized chinois to mash unsuspecting consumables through. It is great to make applesauce and cranberries. Has helped in canning this year.
The pestle fits the hand nicely for rotation of the pestle. Good value for all and quaity aint bad. The nthesis is the most common type of pestle used.
Cons
Using wooden pestle, stringy bits of meat are forced under the mesh but inside the solid metal tip. Tried to use it for grapes. It’s impossible to clean! It still has blackberry seeds and pulp stuck!

Easy to use, sturdy and dishwasher safe.
It is great to make applesauce and cranberries.
The wood it is made from has a grain not ideal for this type of grinding because it splits easily.
Stuck tomato skins get trapped between the mesh and where it comes together.
