Quality
The fabric is wonderful & although i haven't washed them yet, the quality of the fabric & stitching, tells me they will wash well.
The product had no particular scent that i could determine, which was pleasing.
Packaging/appearance
The pillows become fluffier and fluffier over the first 10 minutes that they are brought out of the packaging.
Competitiveness
Side note: we sewed our own zip up pillow cases from a flannelette receiving blanket which has also worked great.
