Works exactly as advertised. Wholly a take-it-on-faith proposition.
Stops most dust/lint. Also stops mold and mildew from forming.
Cons
Received a 1. Nt filter. Not as advertised. Must be a faulty batch of filters.
This is not a filter at all, it's just a thick plastic sheet with triangular holes that small bugs can fit through. It was supposed to be 15 x 7. This is way too small to fit in any of the whynter portable 14 series ac units. How is this even effectiv... Read More

I own a whynter portable ac (arc-14s), this filter could be a little bigger.
It's much less expesive than buying from whynter directly, so perhaps the seller's bulk purchase made this possible.

This 3m product did not come in any labeled packaged or wrapped and was folded curved into the box to get it to fit

It works so well that my 2 year old ac works like new its to soon to tell if this will clean the air but then again you kind of cant tell that anyways unless you use a lot of money on things that can tell you

Fits right but there is no way for the user to test efficacy thus its actual value is a crapshoot
