Pros

Great value for the money, very easy to install. It serves it purpose perfectly just think it could have been a little cheaper for what it is. In one sense it makes it easier once you know it won't replace the original but attaches to the original.

For a $500 unit, seems a quick screen at the actual a/c unit is a no brainer. Either way unit now has multiple inline filters. It does a great job filtering dust, but it fills up quickly and needs frequent cleaning.

Cons

It is shameful for whynter to sell this part separately and for so much considering the price of the air conditioner in the first place. Poor qc and the pricing is ridiculous.

It works but it's ridiculously overpriced.

Quality

Intake hose very easy installation, superior in every way

Works great on the dual hose units that suck air from outside, cause you and i both don’t want bugs and stuff in our unit.

In about 2 weeks time of use i couldn’t believe how much dust and debris this collected and stopped from being sucked into my unit.

Without it, all of that stuff would likely have gotten caught internally in the coils and would never have made it through to the outtake.

Price

Great value for the money, very easy to install.

4 stars only because this should've been included with the ac and not an extra $30.

If you're pressed for time and can't make your own, get it, but you'll easily save yourself a lot of $ if you make it yourself.

I thought it was pricey and it takes time to figure how to make it work.
