Pros

It makes better quality ice and makes it faster than a refrigerator ice dispenser. The larger ice cubes means fewer are needed to fill a glass and they definitely melt slower. There is various ice cube sizes which is nice.

Cons

The biggest disappointment of all is that once the ice is made, it just melts away. Judging by how it arrived cracked i agree.

Company sent pdf and instruction to check for loose wires. The key pad is also defective (again, i know how it is supposed to operate because i have had more than one unit with the identical keypad).

I bought this to replace a nugget ice maker that only lasted 10 months before leaking profusely.

Didn't want to spend over $1000 for a commercial unit with water connection.

Some parts are available online for cheap if you wanted to repair it.

It arrived on time and was well packaged.

I ordered on a tuesday, was supposed to receive by end of day friday, and it didn't come until the following wednesday.

That said, it didn't ship when it was supposed to.

I texted whynter customer service and quickly received a response from jof with whynter.
