I didnt care if it was apple homekit compatible or not as i only wanted to be able to monitor a single socket for a specific purpose just to remote turn onoff the socket while not at home

To setup the socket is pretty straightforward upon plugging it into the wall outlet you have to press and hold the button until you see a flashing bluered light in the app configure your wifi to it once wifi is acquired and hit the to add a scene

So we always leave the lamp physically turned on and use either the app or the button to turn the lamp on or off

When you open the box you simply get a small piece of paperwork and the unit itself
