Wool makes one of the best sock materials in my opinion--the resiliency of the fibers means they retain their loft even when damp.


Excellent socks, not to heavy and very warm.


I've tried cotton and the synthetics and they don't work for me.

Price


Now that i'm retired i pay full price--and still choose these.


I don't spend $100 on 5 pairs and cry over it.


They are expensive, but they are also american-made and i like that aspect, so i am willing to pay the extra expense.

Competitiveness


I find wigwams to fit well and wear longer compared to other wool socks that i have tried.

    The rub didnt get worse over the next 18 miles however all but two of the 18 were down hill

    The flip side of that is they dont wick moisture as well as the 100 wool socks but they are suitable for most applications
