Pros

The sliding scale is a little loose for the first inch out, but quickly gets tighter so it doesn't fall out the whole way. Great for measuring inside measurements. Using it for inside shelf measurements.

The wiha ruler has inbuilt snap locks to hold each extension in place. The locking is more precise than the wooden ones since it clicks firmly at 90 degree angles.

Cons

The joints are stiff and hard to open. Will be looking for a good wooden folding rule with metal joints.
