Pros & Cons
Pros
The fit of these pants is amazing. Just wish they had more sizing options. They are adjustable and it includes a belt.
I am an expert level skier and found these to be very nice. They are on the higher end for price but after using them for shoveling and skiing feel they are worth the cost. Purchased and skied with these on for 22 days this year.
If i had one complaint they are slightly long and in danger or trailing in the dirt at the heel when changing to trail shoes or boots at the lodge back to the car or apartment.
The pockets are plentiful and designed to be usable with the use of winter jackets. The zips all have a pull string, which made them easier to open/close while gloved. The zipper is excellent and waterproof.
Fit exceptionally well. Not too tight and not too loose. It fits well and is comfortable.
Cons
The outer shell has been stitched to the inner lining rotated 360 degrees. This constricts the opening of the pant leg such that they cannot be worn. These are not waterproof, they advertise pockets are.
Highlights
Quality
The zippers are of good quality and keep snow and presumably water out, and they are flush when closed.
The fit and quality seem really good.
Should a rip occur whatever is in your pocket would still be inside the pants.
I’m a 30” waste and 3” inseam, 6’ tall, and the medium was way to big.
Price
Overall great purchase at a reasonable price.
Yes they’re a little more expensive but these will last for years to come!
They easily eclipse anything from the north face and even helly hansen, that would cost $300.
Note, they were $109 back then, i see price has changed since.
Competitiveness
The quality is much better than other leading brands like the north face and columbia.
These pant are perfect for hitting the slopes at a much better price than what some of the more expensive brand coast.
Windhorn pants is probably warmer than helly hensen pants but not comfy as helly hansen.
This is compared to other snow pants where i am soaked.
