Pros & Cons
Pros
The terralite chair is a great compact chair for all of your outdoors adventures. It’s the perfect chair for camping, back/sup/bikepacking, or chillin at the beach! Nice and lightweight enough for a backpacking adventure.
It is right on target when compared to my beloved rei macro chair (which isn't available anymore). It is exactly what we were looking for. This chair exceeds my expectations!
Set-up with the hoop to pull the chair fabric onto the frame legs is a cinch. Comes with attachable sand feet so that you don't sink in the sand. Takes about 30 seconds to pull it out, snap the poles together and then add the seat cover.
Breaking down and repacking the chair seems bulky, but amazingly fits back into it's carrying case easily. Once unpacked, it unfolds and comes together easily and intuitively. I love how easily the setup and takedown is.
The bag is big enough to not have to push and shove to get it in. I also like that the new bag has the loops for lashing tightly to my backpack. I especially like the clip on the back for the bag.
Cons
Feet are bulky and fussy. The black rubber leg ends tear and slide up the legs. The seat is a couple of inches too short to do this.
Highlights
Quality
I plan to take it backpacking soon - excited to see how it holds up, but so far i am very pleased.
Worked well for me - i am 5’1””
Price
I need a cheaper price point lol but for now.
Competitiveness
I bought this to replace a competitor's chair and use it primarily for camping trips, where i frequently stay on sandy beaches.
Not as light weight as pricier brands but i can live with that.
