Pros
Williams-sonoma muffin cookbook has six parts. Includes muffins, loaf bread, coffee cakes and savory muffins. Muffins are a staple at our house - every variety. The cinnamon and sugar muffins are to die for!
A lot of these recipes are not as healthy as they could be, but that's easily remedied. The recipes are very precise and very good. Those of jalapeño are really delicious, here in mexico we eat a lot of chili and that recipe loved to my family.
Beautiful and well thought out layout and compilation of recipes. Wonderful tips and mouth watering pictures. I really like the photos of all the goodies, it helps to see what the final goal is.
Wow! It is terrific. What is not to like? For me, the answer to both questions is a resounding, unequivocal yes!
The book is not too heavy, bulky, or big, but also not too small. It is possible to bake once a week and store in ziplock freezer bags. Have used this book for years and just replaced it as the other is tattered from use and notes.

I made my sister a batch of the cherry muffins with the coconut topping and plan on baking more when she delivers her first child.
I even went as far as to emulate the food presentation in the pictures (with the platters and decors i already owned, of course).
Price
Price: bought the used edition; copy cost me less than $5; pretty good deal!
I got the book used and it was definitely worth the price.

Every recipe comes with a colorfull picture of the product.
The muffins i've made look like store-bought muffins.
For the absolute novice cook, i recommend the atk series.

I was disappointed that not all recipes were for muffins

So far i only have made 6 recipes all of them muffins from more than 30

With that being said i do think that the absolute novice cook may struggle with some of the recipes in ws cb

The font is dark enough and large enough to read but i do use reading glasses i am of an age where i simply cannot read anything without reading glasses
