Raised seam is good for beginner pitchers in gidgets level. Good for fielding, pitching and batting.
These are my favorite workhorse softball for durable use in practices. Sturdy construction. Will last a long time.

Didn't realize these are synthentic leather, but honestly, they are nice and already showing to be pretty durable.
Price
These 11” inch softballs are a good value.
For practice, a ball with a genuine leather cover will scuff and eventually be too tattered to use, which becomes costly.
Competitiveness
They are every bit as hard as a normal ncaa softball only and inch smaller.

These are great balls but much too big for 6u or 8u players to use

Genuine leather covers are nice for a game ball when you start with a brand new ball and it only sees a couple hours of use
