Often this is characterized by swing speeds but i personally believe that it also is based on your ability to compress the ball or more simply hit down on the ball

If you dont all the compression comes from the club hitting the ball like a bat hitting a baseball no help from the ground

From the perspective of high performance they were good but not great

With the hardness of the greens i didnt expect shots to hold but the ball did pretty well but it was a lob wedge so there was a huge amount of backspin

In general they performed okay around the greens but clearly they arent soft like a 4 or now 5 piece ball
