It is perfectly adequate for a beginner, though it probably would be best if they raised the price slightly and included a glove. Seems to be a great price for the set which is why i opted to try it.

Racquetballs like tennis balls are sold in airtight canisters and one opened will last maybe a week in a playable state

For a beginner playing with dead racquetballs will make learning harder because the ball will bounce less and require you to swing harder which makes you less accurate
