Pros

The quick adjust nut on it is awesome, no more turning the bar for 10 minutes to get the right size opening. The removable swivel jaw is nice touch,easily removed if you prefer.

U-channel rail design is excellent. Sturdy, keeps gunk out of the threads. Not at all crude looking like some other people's republic stuff.

It's a one time, life time purchase that will last for generations. Looks like it should * a long time. I fully expect this thing to last me the rest of life.

There is a steel peg that rises up that can be used as a dog however it's a bit fidgety. I think most woodworkers use their tail vise when they are * something to the bench, so i find it's only a minor flaw.

The threaded rod is housed in a heavy steel channel, protecting it from grime and debris. Has a massive acme thread - covered so grease doesn't ruin your work - and includes a chromed handle.

Overall, this vise is one of the few products i've purchased online where the quality actually exceeded my expectations.

It is very smooth operating with the quick grip feature.

Mine came with the maple jaw inserts, which are lined on one side with a weak sheet of magnetic material.

I found that the magnetic hardwood pads that came with the vise worked well.

Price

Exactly what i was wanting for a reasonable price.

This vice is ready to mount out of the box.

The packaging was a little beat up, but i don't think it would be easy to damage this item.
