Pros

The only downside on this unit (as with others) is the clip that keeps it on the pot. Easy to use for my holdiay candy making or for making jam. Very durable.

Cons

Thermometer is great, but the handle is glued on with glue. This is the same thermometer that is sold under any other brand name like oxo and it is a piece of junk.

Used only about 4 times. It aggravates me when i think i'm getting one thing and i get another. It disconnects from the thermometer too easily. These are useless to me for the caramels i make and sell.

I'm sure it's because my amazing thermometer was very easy to read and very accurate!

This is very acurite thermometer, tested after i received it in boiling water and was spot on.

Made perfect fudge on the first try

Packaging/appearance

I like the way my candy came out and what i dislike is the size too big for small pots

Competitiveness

This is better than the taylor model i had, but it won't clip to the pan because it isn't curved.

Over the years i've come to trust the wilton brand.
