The lid is very durable, it's a stiff plastic but with a little give. There are some notches on either end of the lids under the handles, that probably helps to lock it onto the pan. Line with parchment or foil and keep this pan in pristine condition ... Read More

Only slight downside is the cover is hard to get on tight and may lift off if not correct. Still wilton, good product.

Cons

Only for baking. The lid was cracked. My guess is the finish wasn't evenly sprayed in the factory.
