I really don't think it will affect performance in any way, but enough is enough with the rubber cement--it's very annoying stuff.

My only criticism of these pans is that the manufacturer used big globs of rubber cement to hold the paper inserts in the pans and i had a hard time getting it out of the 10-inch pan and it caused me to lightly scratch the surface trying to get it off.  Read Less
