Highlights
Quality
Sturdy to withstand heavy use and abuse.
Overall happy with the quality of the tongs.
These have no way to stay closed, so you're forced to store them open.
Winco makes the "heavy duty" utlk-16 with a lock, but they are not even close to the strength of the "extra heavyweight" ut-16ht.
Price
Can't beat the value of these food service tongs.
Inexpensive and strong, they'd be better still if they locked for storage.
Cheap because equipment tends to get lost and broken during camping trips.
Competitiveness
If you need the lock functionality, you should look at the edlund 4416hdl, or more expensive tongs like the rösle.
The winco and rösle tongs are comparable in strength as they use the same thickness of stainless steel.

These are nicer than the standard food service stamped aluminum tongs but i recommend going with the longer ones especially if you’re grilling

The issue i have is that theres no mechanism to keep the tongs closed

Other tongs have a clip that slides up to keep the ends closed or a lever you push that keeps it closed
