Pros
They are a bit pricey when offered at about $9 at the time of this review. The pincers are sturdy and grab onto food really well.
The winco banded tongs are truly impressive. Well-made in stainless steel and feature a stronger spring than many others we've used. It’s a great quality tong.
I've learned to hold them differently to make the sliding ring less annoying. They grasp very well with lots of control.
Cons
The hinge is small enough that the ball of my hand tends to get pinched when i'm using these. After 3 uses the spring is tired and the tongs stay half closed. Not even usable unless a spend some time with pliers to straighten them.
This is a lie, and that's a scam! The seller should be taken off of amazon. No good; hand fatigue.

I don't know how it works but it looked as it was pictured and described.
Competitiveness
I have posted a pic comparing with a set of cheap tongs that actually open wide.
Even more expensive tongues that we own aren't even close to the quality of these tongues.
If you need the lock functionality, you should look at the edlund 4416hdl, or more expensive tongs like the rösle.
The winco and rösle tongs are comparable in strength as they use the same thickness of stainless steel.
