Pros

G2+ came with a 25 ft coaxial. Can be put outside on the ground or mounted on the roof of an rv. Easy to install on roof of my motorhome with optional roof mount kit.

Easy to set up. Directv box can be reconfigured.

This antenna is awesome! It works beautifully! Very happy.

Set dip switches on power inserter with 4,7,8, down and rest up. On dish remote control select menu then type in 611. Make sure superdish and alternate are unchecked. Replacing a kng controls vqube 2000.

Cons

Tech tells me the unit is defective. Finally called customer support but was instructed to leave a call back number. It's still under warranty and they won't fix or replace it.

Frickin junk. The information is very misleading.

Winegard multiswitch can't work with directtv. It only works part time the dip switches take up room along with the power supply on limited spaces in rv shelf. Can't get many of the channels in my dish package. Still only some channels.

I was expecting some waiting time to acquire the signal but nothing this fast.

Packaging/appearance

I opened the box and everything was included as promised.

Replaced a king vq4100 that never did work from the time i unpacked it with the winegard gm 6000.

I unboxed it put the handle on attached the appropriate cables plugged in the power inserter and then i went and got my receiver.

Came with only 25' of coax so had to add 50 ft of shielded, copper coax to reach my receiver.

Competitiveness

There is no comparison, so very happy with this g-2.

Don't know if it will work with other brand of coaxial or barrel couplers but my husband knows it worked with these.

The older winegard had a wider base than the g2+.
