The entire bottom section is made of thick metal that is finished in a scratch resistant paint.

The top section is made of thick, high quality plastic that has very minimal moulding lines that are not sharp at all.

Extremely well packaged, however there are two small tears in the fabric at the rear section of the seat base.

I should also mention that we had to return the first box as it was missing parts during the installation.
