Pros
Nice finnish. They look fab and good quality. Appreciated the good price.
The allen wrench is very strong. Facile a assembler, très solide.
Nice sized bed stand. Perfect nightstands. Bought these for a guest room.
Very sturdy and perfect size bedside tables. Relatively sturdy. Not overly heavy, and really nice looking.
Cons
Total garbage. It's not worth 50 bucks, let alone the price it came down to. Spend the extra money and buy something from ikea.
Incredibly disappointed with this nightstand. Very disappointing, especially for my granddaughter.
Hard to assemble. Pre-drilled holes for screws not deep enough. Can't be opened all the way or they get stuck.
The quality, workmanship and sturdiness are one of the worst i encountered. It’s lopsided and not at all sturdy. Drawer side panels are cheaply made and easily crack when tightening the side pieces for drawer.

As for the dowel issue the problem most likely folks are having is that they are trying to install at the back of the drawer
