The quality is very good for a basic controller for a child but would not recommend for an adult.
Price
3m cable/lead a bonus to as a back up pad for the price, can't go wrong.
The price is a bit steep, but it’s worth the investment if you like gaming.
However, this would likely increase the price.

Competitiveness
Works great in pc with ds4 or ps3 or ps4 console.
My son (5yrs old), finds it much simpler doing his puzzle games on the ps4 with this mini controller.

Good control for kids the only drawback is the cable but is pretty long for a single room so that would be safe i guess

Only issue is there is no motion detection in it and the touch pad is a button

Down sides are no rumblevibrate and the l2r2 buttons are simple onoff rather than a range of movement or action

This means games such as car games are tricky and youre unable to gently control movement
