The receiver is mains powered and has a light as well as a display of 09 on the front indicating what transmitter is pushed but you only get 1 int eh pack therefore the default when it is pushed will display 1 on the front of it bright green display i like this as it is easy to select the chime you want pressing forward and back buttons saves having to cycle through all of them if you skipped it and holding the single volume button on it for at least 5 seconds saves it to the memory works even after unplugging it again

I used the doublesided tape just to try it and it took less than five minutes to get it up and going

The chime is plugged directly into a socket and the pusher requires a 23 amp 12 volt battery which can be called mn21 depending on the manufacturer
