This is an awesome bit of kit. It looks very high-tec and it performs well. The brushed stainless steel sensor gives it a professional feel.

Despite teething problems with both of these, with firmware updates they all now work well. It is a stunningly well-made product.
This latest version keeps many of the features that withings have been optimizing over the past few years. It has some minimal plastic and foam packaging which protects and presents the monitor very well. It is pretty sizeable though at 195.
Ease of use is an important factor for me and the unit scores highly in that area. It's very easy to set up and easy to use and tracks metrics automatically.
Cons
Setting up is a real pain, the unit powers down throughout the process. Setup fails due to a failure to connect to the update server. This stops the install process, so it is no possible to run it with the version of the software it shipped with.
Bluetooth, wireless connectivity, untethered design and sophisticated apps to record readings are no good is ease and reliability of use are not great. Ecg and heart rate sounds features are pretty much useless.
