I’m after functionality, not flash, and this fits the bill perfectly. App pairing is smooth and the user interface in the app is clean and easy to navigate. East to use crown button to navigate menus.
The horizon comes with a very nice stainless steel bracelet and a color coordinated silicone band. The watch is much larger and heavier than my other watches. The weight becomes more apparent when the stainless-steel bracelet is used.
The watch face is beautiful and the hour markings and hands glow in the dark. It's very stylish and feels good on the wrist.
The build quality is good and i think it is attractive. Definitely has more design appeal. The best looking, excellent build quality, thoughtful app.

I contacted withings customer service, this is where the stalling and deceptive practices started. Going to the withings website one finds possible'symptoms' of problems which are explained in that section.

So far its been very durable for all day wearing, and the battery life is excellent.
The watch feels sturdy with excellent material all around.
Battery after 10 days is at 49%, so 20 days moderate use.
I track workouts and sleep daily and after ten full days of use, the battery has just under 50% remaining.
Price
After almost 1 yr of wearing i can say it is definitely worth the higher price.

I bought this watch on nov 7, received on nov 9th, so had it for 10 days so far.
Withings scanwatch and was shipped a used refurbished watch.
Packaging/appearance
I then opened the box and found the manual was missing and the clean cover to protect the contacts to charge the watch was missing.
Competitiveness
The scan watch is a great alternative to other smart watches.
