The main body feels like a cotton canvas but is apparently made from 100 polyester which is probably better since in my experience it is usually far more durable in this sort of application and the strap is similar to seatbelt material

I would describe the bag as large if planning to use it as a purse but more mediumish if used as a school or shopping bag
