I also have a stanley sw 92 shoulder plane that converts into a small chisel plane but i found that using it in that setup would give me small cuts on my index fingers where you naturally apply pressure to push the tool

This woodriver chisel plane performs the same function but the ergonomics are much better

Sometimes you just have to spend the money to get something worth having and if you are serious about making good clean products it is well worth having
