Pros

The small thumb screw is great to have to keep the gate open in this cases where gravity or vibration cause the gate to close. The gate is smooth and alodined bydesign to help with a good air seal. The price to pay for this is a small leakage through ... Read More

Cons

The sealing of the aluminum gates is pours. They leak air bad when closed which causes a loss of cfm. Sewer pipe is about 3/32nd of an inch too large to fit this gate.

These are very well made, strong, easy to use and install.

I have used the plastic ones in the past and they just fell apart.

The assembly consists of 2 cast aluminum plates that are bolted together like a sandwich around the sliding gate.

The only kind to buy, worth the cost

The price to pay for this is a small leakage through this crack when that opening is used.

But then, the cost is reasonable, so factor that into your selection.

It does require the fitting to attach the 4" hose which adds a cost.
