Pros & Cons
Pros
It keeps the shop quieter and doesn't generate dust like a router or shaper. Easier than breaking out the router and quicker than sandpaper.
This does just what it says. It's so inexpensive and it would save me the time to switch out the blades. Hone the blades before the first use. It has depth and lateral adjustments for both blades.
This tool is ideal for easing the edges on boards. Great finishing hand tool producing smooth eased corners. Makes the most subtle round over (16th inch radius) on the corner of dressed lumber.
This radi plane works fine. Just as with any plane, the wood grain direction can dictate the results. One negative is that the shoe of the plane is brass.
Cons
It's cheaply made, but then the price is cheap too. Very dull, doesn't leave a nice smooth round over edge. Returned for refund.
The blades were offset and there appeared to be a hairline crack in the block by the adjustment screw. The cutter cannot be adjusted sufficiently to allow for smooth cutting. The cutters are glued in or something.
