Base feels solid and heavy, should be able to handle most 27" monitors without problems.
This mount has the flexibility of not only adjusting the height but also the angle which is fantastic.
You cannot twist the monitor into vertical position (eg, going from 16x9 to 9x16) on the stand like you can with a dell sharp series.
Hardest part is cable management for leading the wires away from the mount (still working on it) but overall this unit is rock solid.

Price is a little high compared to some other options but it doesnt require fumbling with a nut to change position on the fly and i expect it will last longer as theres no chance of stripping
