He is a boomer and they love ww2. The information is accurate and is not biased against any country or side. It gives a very fine accountof the war and its beginnings in europe and also china straight through to the japanese surrender in 1945.

The maps and detail are unbelievable. It is a high level overview of the war. The maps are complex at first but the diagrams do help.

Bought it for my 98 year old ww2 vet grandfather. The pictures in it alone are priceless. An excellent bargain for the price.

Cons

Viewing on a typical kindle device (such as an oasis) or smaller screen device will be utterly pointless. Enlarging the display allows reading the text but makes comprehension of the maps impractical. Lots of ink marking up every map in the book.
