Pros & Cons
Pros
The thick bulbous shape helps them perform fairly well on dirt and gravel trails as well. The tires on my mountain bike, when used with an indoor trainer, sounds like a chainsaw.
These are much fatter than the michelin slicks i had on my 26”. The tires on there now are 29 x 1. And it looks good on my 3inch rim.
Tires are noticeably lighter and have more nimble handling. Ride it at 80 psi for a nice soft mellow experience. I ride a fixed gear and have taken this baby for a 100 mile ride and it shined. I'm a little heavier at 200lbs and my bike is silky smooth... Read More
The whine from the motor (mag resistance trainer) still remains but it's pretty well muffled by the doors. Works great on my trainer / silent.
Rolls smooth and fast and lasts long. Very smooth and thick and durable. Everyone has different criteria for what constitutes a good tire.
Cons
I have a set for my se bike and thought they would work well on my road bike, but no. They are soooooooo heavy. More like fat guard. These tire are way too small for 700c rim. Very disappointed this time with my thickslick comp.
Highlights
Quality
All in all, the quality and price of these tires makes them a great value, and i will buy them again.
I’m very happy with the tire and it’ll help keep me moving during the winter months and on rainy days!
But once i finally got it, i must say i am happy with the purchase.
I have a continental trainer tire but, i didn’t want to bother with the swap.
Shipping
Very sticky and grips well, skids beautifully, takes abuse with a smile and most importantly is super fast at least in 700cc 28... Read More
Packaging/appearance
They came clean white in the box, no issues with packaging like i read in some other reviews.
I got this because like others i didn’t like the humming sound from the the big apples from the other mfg.
I may leave on all the time instead swapping the to the knobs.
Competitiveness
These are much fatter than the michelin slicks i had on my 26”.
I used this smooth 29 inch tire on my 29er mt bike for my winter time indoor training.
They roll well and require less pressure 110psi max.
I first bought a pair of tires for my fixie bike and got them for a cheap price.

Some people have trouble with tires delaminating when used on a trainer because the tire is pressed against a small diameter roller
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
The trick is to back off the roller until it no longer rotates and bring it in until it just rotates and not further to minimize the deforming of the tire
