Pros & Cons
Pros
Retired greyhound's teeth are cleaner and her breath is fresher as a result of using dentatreat. This product is great and is so much easier than brushing her teeth. My one dog is now 11 and has never had to have his teeth cleaned.
The price is the best i have found. I am able to cut back from daily use to three times per week, making this product more affordable than others. Purchasing on amazon is much more inexpensive than in the store, by half.
My new, local vet charges $400 for a tooth cleaning. Poodles, historically, have low enzyme production so i'm on the watch for any saliva problems. My dog lets me do anything to him except brushing his teeth.
Cons
Many of her teeth are loose and have to be pulled and there is a lot of tartar built up. She decided to discontinue use and switched to a regular dog toothpaste w/enzymatic action.
Highlights
Quality
I've had excellent results with this product.
Her teeth seem to clean more thoroughly during her bone chewing with the addition of this product.
Competitiveness
My 13yo beagle mix rescue hated to have his teeth brushed until i bought this powder.
The size is equal to three of the original size i purchased - for the same price!
