The install and setup is a complete breeze, even for the less tech savvy folks. Very intuitive and clear to me. Static ips are extra services that internet users have to pay extra money monthly to acquire.
This is not a deal breaker for me because i just find it easier to control it all from app, rather than by voice control. Both reach wifi and work well. No dire t smartthings connectivity but can work using ifttt.
They are really underpriced. Worth every penny. Amazon support is good.
Cons
Bulbs are fast to disassociate with the router. Contact sensor fails to connect after battery replacement. Bridge often looses connection with the sensors as well.

So i'm betting they tested with the most common products and the basest configurations.
It claims to be alexa compatible but i seem to run into issues with alexa, specifically with the smart plugs and smart lights.
