Pros

Once added to the wyze app, this thermostat is very simple to use. No eco mode but there are a lot of options to simulate an eco mode. It's programmable and has geolocation so it can turn on and off based on you location.

Great price efficient, smart thermostat. Works on both sides of a 3700 square foot house. Bluetooth range on these seems to be pretty good since the thermoston and sensor are on opposite sides of the house.

Cons

This one is worse than worthless. I hope they address this internally. Bought this to use in the garage and regret it.

The app randomly loses wi-fi and you have to go through the whole reinstall step process through the app to reconnect. The finally problem, which is exasperating, is i changed my router.

Tried to get hold of support via phone and chat with no luck. I explained the item was faulty, that i don’t need support, i want to return, and i got the same response. Wyze tech support is non-existent!

Easy to install and set up with step-by-step, illustrated instructions in the app.

Furnace went out and had new installed and asked for the correct wires for a wireless smart thermostat be installed.

This problem will not exist if you follow the instructions and fasten the base plate to the wall before putting the face panel.

Price

Wyze is a great option and at a very nice price.

Con: wyze thermostat did not qualify for local utility discount or rebate.

Including price and simple installation which at first look seems daunting.

That being said, i accidentally discovered wyze when i needed to replace a security light, and their version was on sale for some reason.

Competitiveness

I purchased the garage door monitors from wyze and i am looking forward to their installations.

I also have now purchased wyze switches, a camera doorbell, and a couple of smart outlets.

Shame on wyze for not supporting the consumer any better.
