Pros

Shaving container is huge, so it doesn’t have to be emptied frequently. Large reservoir capacity is nice as you don't have to empty the shavings often. It cuts smooth like butter. It handles, regular pencils, our fat kinder pencils and colored pencils...  Read More

While you may not find one in each cubicle here is certainly a need for one in departments that depend on pencils. Really really delighted.

I like that it adjusts to fit the pencil (it fits different sized pencils). It's not small, or designed for the house.

This sharpener sharpens my pencils in a few seconds flat and does so evenly and with ease. This sharpened pencils about the same speed and maybe not quite as well.

Cons

It is big and bulky but does not have the power to back it up. Returned both for a refund. Still no refund. Luckily, if you do buy this from amazon, they have a great return policyand it is easy to ship back.

Quality

So i am very happy with that aspect.

The pencil's quality does not matter - it has sharpened every pencil i've tried.

Pencils aren't the quality they used to be.

Price

Considering the hefty price, i'm hoping to get many years of service!

I will say that although i believe the price is completely justified, it is a shame that most schools can’t afford it.

Packaging/appearance

Another one i’ve tried is the x-acto pencil sharpener, quiet pro.

Competitiveness

I’m a kindergarten teacher that uses my xacto pencil sharpener regularly.

I use it to sharpen woodless colored pencils.

I just can’t figure out why it would be any better than cheaper versions.
