The motion sensor is very sensitive and will detect even small pets. The app allows you to adjust the brightness of the base station light, the volume of the voice from the base, the alarm sound and volume for the base.

The base station has a battery backup in case the power goes out. I happen to have made a decision not to be caught completely in the dark (literally and figuratively) should the power go out. The base unit also has a 12-hour battery backup.

Cons

No bundle price for contact sensors. Reliability is a problem. App not friendly and robust.
