The ten year sealed battery is absolutely the way to go with smoke detectors now. Included are long lasting lithium batteries.

Cons

The only way i could get them to alarm is by putting them under a bowel with a blown out match. Expensive and not certified in the us. Just a one-off.

The app recognizes the smoke detector via bluetooth but then cannot connect to wifi. Even tried to configure with several kinds of routers, the result is the same. They never change from rapid blink mode to slow blink mode for direct wifi pairing mode... Read More
