Quality
Very high quality packaging and included batteries showed how important quality is to the company.
Except for the poor contrast display, this is a terrific product.
Overall i was happy with the purchase at the price point.
Also i was not able to locate an on-line manual so i need to hang on the the instruction booklet that comes with the unit.
Competitiveness
Its a bit higher priced than i'd like & the display needs more contrast (its non-adjustable).
I did lots of research and htis seemed to offer the most features for a reasonable price.
A nice little weather station, good-looking, shows outdoor and indoor temps on same screen--tis sweet.

A little hard to see in a darkish room and it does have a backlite but the activation button instead of being on the top is on the back and harder to find than it should be

My husband wanted me to get the analog stickonthewindow type which are well pretty ugly

They can also fall off and it would require that i purchase an additional thermometer if we wanted to know the inside temperature too
